Copilot Prompt-a-Thon workshop

Book this workshopWe will scope the agenda, audience, and timing with your team.

A two-minute overview of how the Prompt-a-Thon runs.

The challenge

You have made the investment. Are you seeing the returns?

Successful AI adoption is not about picking the right tool. It is about preparing the organisation, shaping the use cases, building the skills, and reinforcing the behaviours so AI shows up in how your people actually work.

Leadership wants ROI

Executives expect visible value from Copilot. Without clear use cases and baseline metrics, the spend is hard to justify.

People are confused

Confusion about which Copilot to use when creates friction, slows adoption, and stalls time to value.

Shadow IT risk

When staff do not see how Microsoft 365 meets their needs, they turn to non-approved tools, creating duplicate cost and security exposure.

Skills do not materialise on their own

Role-based enablement with practical prompting is required so teams can apply Copilot to the tasks they already do every day.

Why it works

03 Best ideas surface together

Collaboration draws out the strongest use cases, culminating in a Big Prompt Reveal where top submissions are recognised.

04 From curiosity to capability

Hands-on practice teaches proven prompting techniques applied to real scenarios, so skill builds fast and lasts.

Well-rounded session. Appreciate they made the effort to understand our roles and prepared good materials to walk us through relevant examples. The hands-on exercises were valuable.

A lot of interesting content and different ways to use Copilot were shared. The best thing I learned was using “/” to narrow a prompt to a particular meeting series or person.

What is a Copilot Prompt-a-Thon?

A Prompt-a-Thon is a hands-on, expert-guided workshop where teams experiment with Microsoft 365 Copilot on their own work. It combines a prompting masterclass, a walkthrough across Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook, a team hack of one real business process, and a Big Prompt Reveal where the best solutions are presented and recognised.

How long is the workshop?

Four to five hours in one immersive session, delivered virtually or on-site. The five-hour version includes an overview of Copilot Agent Builder in Microsoft 365, where participants are encouraged to build an agent themselves.

Who should attend?

Employees across all areas of the business: front-line staff, knowledge workers, and executives together. Mixing functions is deliberate, because the strongest use cases usually surface where teams compare how they work.

What do participants take away?

Masterclass-level prompting skills, confidence using Copilot across the Microsoft 365 apps, real use cases mapped to their day-to-day work, and a custom Book of Prompts: a playbook of ready-to-use prompt cards tailored to your business.

What are the prerequisites?

Participants need a Copilot licence, free or paid. We recommend running separate cohorts for paid and free Copilot users so the walkthrough matches what each group can actually do.

Does the Prompt-a-Thon actually change usage?

In a global maritime shipping organisation, high-frequency Copilot users tripled after a single Prompt-a-Thon and the number of people reporting 15 or more minutes of daily time savings rose sharply. Nearly all participants felt prepared to use Copilot afterwards, up from about half before the session.

Is it virtual or on-site?

Both. Virtual sessions use breakout rooms for the hack, and on-site sessions run the same agenda in person. Content, deliverables, and outcomes are identical.
